The wines of Enrico Baj Macario are like this, unique items, able to tell you a story about a place and an exact moment.
Enrico pushes his vision to the extreme, refusing to chase any form of outsider “correction”, enough to allow him to write on the label “integrally produced” and making wine from one single row, allows the plants to express themselves freely, certain that their quality, the soil on which they are located, the climate of Greve in Chianti and the ability of “man of the fields and cellar” are the only ingredients that they need to create small masterpieces.
Each row is treated and harvested one by one, individually vinified and bottled barrel by barrel.
Each bottle is then numbered, and on their labels is indicated the coordinates of the row from where it comes, with also a “quick read” or Q.R.Code, which allows to grant the total traceability of the product, from the origin to the destination.
You then have an elite product, overseen in every minimum detail, not only for what concerns the manipulation, executed like in the old days, but even the refinement of the bottle, the label, the packaging.
